‘Seems like the right time to bring my journal to an end. It was one year ago today that I received my diagnosis...can you believe that?! So much has happened in that year! I have been so grateful to have Caring Bridge. I’ve been so blessed to be able to keep my friends informed, and to have this place to come to to read well wishes and words of encouragement and love...it sustained me many times during my treatment, especially when things got rough. I am back at work with my normal schedule, and am feeling very well, and getting stronger every day...life is settling back into a normal rhythm...to the extent that that’s even possible right now. This weekend has been a fun time of celebrating my health...My sister, Deb, who was with me a few times to care for me, has joined us...so that’s been special to have her here.
Cancer didn’t “get” me, but cancer has changed me. My greatest prayer throughout this whole thing has been that God would use my situation to bless others or to help someone going through a similar challenge. I will continue to look for those opportunities now that I’m on this side of my cancer journey.
As God brings me to your mind, I’d love it if you’d continue to pray for my ongoing health and strength.
Blessings,
