Journal entry by Caroline Clark —
Mom has been resting peacefully at home this last couple of weeks. Gene, Caroline, and Garrett are working together to ensure she has round the clock care and comfort.
Hospice nurses have confirmed that she’s transitioning and our remaining time with her will likely be short. She is not in any pain or distress. Things are progressing calmly and she’s asleep most of the time. In small moments of wakefulness, she keeps her eyes shut and simply asks for water or tells us she loves us.
She received communion earlier this week and has found a lot of comfort in prayer. We know a lot of you are praying for her and sending her loving thoughts. She can feel it.
Nico continues to visit Grandma and Grandpa’s and fill the house with squeaks, giggles and toddler babble— some of Grandma’s favorite noises. Photo attached of Nico enjoying a sprinkler toy in Grandma’s front yard.
A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Denise's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
