Hello Everyone! Just wanted to let you guys know that from now on, updates will be a bit less common, as most of the big stuff is out of the way and progress will be a bit more slow moving! Denise had her last two chest tubes out today, and is having significantly less pain and an easier time breathing, yay! She is on some oxygen, though her levels are looking good. She still has her NG tube in, to her extensive dislike, but they are keeping it in to make sure she’s getting enough nutrients. She has started eating soft foods (pudding, fish, yogurt) which is great! The doctors are keeping a close eye on her blood pressure, giving her some more liquids to lower it. She is still walking everyday, and will be working more on her exercises and mobility, though the doctors are always impressed with how much strength she has! They have an ENT coming in soon, as her vocal cords are still a little raspy. They are hoping to move her out of the ICU by tonight.
Thank you for the continuous support. As she feels better we will start to show her everyone lovely comments. Much love!
