Journal entry by Lorraine Parra —
as many of you are aware, Del had a stroke on Friday, February 23, 2018 about 8:30 am. He was walking back from having breakfast and reading the paper, his daily routine and something he loves! He collapsed near Starbucks at park oaks center. These past few days have seemed like time has stood still. We are lucky to have two of the best stroke doctors in the country right here at los Robles in Thousand Oaks. He has one large clot in his brain and several smaller ones. These have contributed to brain bleeds. He is currently in a coma as his brain hopefully heals. He has sufficient brain activity and his heart is strong so we all are hoping for the best. He’s currently intubated to regulate his breathing. He will begin tube feeding soon. It’s going to be an uphill battle but he’s strong! We ask for your positive wishes and your prayers. I will update this page daily. Thx in advance for your support!!! Lorraine.
