Journal entry by Randy McCright

Delores doing very well. She still has a ways to go on speech. It's variable whether she locks up on a word or not.
PT and OT did an assessment last week and are having to move her "final" goal targets since she's surpassed several and 90% or better on rest.
She made chocolate chip cookies Friday as part of OT.
Today was my first day back to work. Both PT and OT said no issue with that and I felt safe doing it with what she's done on her own the last two weeks. She doesn't need a walker but will use one when I'm not here.
Everything went fine today. I only called her 4 or 5 times to check on her. I'm set up so that her phone rings even on silent. I don't go to work until 7 after, after she's finished breakfast and is situated. I come home and make lunch then back home 4-4:30pm. It's going to be a while before I'm comfortable working typical 12+ hour day but Delores didn't have a worry. She also has the Life Alert button on a lanyard that she wears just in case.
