Delayne’s Story

Site created on March 31, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On Tuesday March 29, 2022  Delayne stayed home from school complaining she had a headache, sore throat and nauseous.  She was found unresponsive and taken to the ER.  Bloodwork showed an overdose on medications.   At the ER in Bismarck, Layne coded and they stabilized her and put her on a ventilator,  She was then transported to Minneapolis to receive the best care.  She is on placed an ECMO machine.

Prayers for complete healing are appreciated.

Time keeps marching on and because of God’s grace and many, many prayers,  the world is still blessed to have Delayne for another trip around the sun (lol, stole that from Jen 💝). We celebrated her 17th birthday today 🥳🎉🥳. Delayne woke up at 7:20 for her heparin shot but it was the last one!!! The ultrasound showed the blood clots are gone and she is healing very nicely. The hematologist has now released her to the care of the cardiologist.  So we are moving forward. We were blessed to spend the Independence Day holiday with family and lots of love.  Prayers work and we thank you for them, as well as the amazing medical team that took care of Delayne.
