Journal entry by Stacy Maciej

We all just wanted to take a minute now that things have settled into this new life to say a few things to all of you.

There really are no words in this world for how we are feeling from all the out pouring love and support from everyone over these past 78 days.

We can't thank you enough for all for the calls, texts, messages and visits that have made this journey go the best it could for all of us. Moms funeral just showed us the lives she has touched and her caring, selfless, sassy self and everyone she has touched in ways we never looked at before.

The small community that we live in and the close knit work community that we have definitely made everything so much easier to deal with. We had love and support from so many and some people who we may never have thought were thinking of us.

A few special shout outs that we want to acknowledge even though each and everyone of you were amazing and special to us.

Dr Avery who made weekly visits to mom just to sit or do things for mom that she wanted done and most of all giving us caregivers a break as mom truly felt like she was in great care with her.

Laurie Sieben for also being a relief caregiver for all of us. You truly are an angel sent from heaven to help us with this journey and thank you for sharing the wonderful things mom talked about to you regarding us kids.

The Gessell Girls for your willingness to take on mom's menu of food and to make her funeral day so much easier for all of us. Not having a worry to think about. Your family is truly a blessing to us and we appreciate everything you took care of.

Stacy Herold -  Mom's amazing hospice nurse. You made us keeping mom at home the best decision we ever made as you were there to guide us.  You made questions easy to ask and made sure mom was getting the best care. Even times when us girls doubted we were doing our best you were there to give us advice and assure that we were doing the best we could. You were an angel sent to us and us girls will never forget it!!!

I want to personally take a minute to thank my Sister in Law Crystal and my Brothers Girlfriend Honey for accepting to take this journey with me and stepping up when we were facing the worst times of our lives. You 2 must have been angels sent to me.  I couldn't have asked for 2 better ladies to have gone down this journey with. The memories made these past few weeks will never be forgotten and I am so blessed to have you two be the Sisters I never had!!!! Thanks to my brothers for picking such wonderful ladies also!!!

I want to ask that your continue to keep us all in your thoughts and prayers as this journey doesn't end here. I ask that you continue to check in with each and everyone of us as life will be different from here on out.  Barney will need checking in on and us kids will do our best but we all know he likes his sports, fishing and poker time too.

Don't ever forget # NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE
