Deb’s Story

Site created on June 26, 2018

On Friday night Deb was diagnosed with a cerebellar brain tumor. Even though this news was absolutely awful to receive, most of the information we have received since then has been positive! We are using this website to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Journal entry by Deb MacIsaac

Hi everyone!! I am so excited to be home and feeling far better than I did three weeks ago!  Everything looked so green and colorful around the yard after being in a beige room.  It perked me up immensely. Over the last 5 days I have been able to walk around the yard with minimal assistance, have visitors, give lots of directions to my family, enjoy the best meals ever and have the most inconsistent sleep patterns.
Today all my stitches and sutures were removed by Dr. Mohan. He asked me what I wanted to do this summer and I answered, "swim in the ocean." To which he replied, "at the very end of summer, yes." Yay!!!!!!!
I have a follow-up MRI in two months and am anticipating good results.
We are  most grateful for the abundance of love, care, and support everyone has showered on us. We will forever be impacted by you all. Every measure great or small has been vital.  I love our town community and  faith community - CrossPoint Fellowship. I would be remiss to neglect calling out my absolute dependence on Jesus Christ, Who is the great Pastor of the universe, Redeemer and Preserver of mankind.
Patients and caregivers love hearing from you; add a comment to show your support.
