Journal entry by Deb Kenison —
Hello all! Another huge thank you to all who have visited this site and have sent cards and notes to me. Believe me, each and every one has been a bright spot in my day and has lifted my spirits!
Last week was the end of my first round of chemotherapy and yesterday we began a new round with different drugs and protocols. The new drug is nicknamed "the red devil". So grateful it is given only once every three weeks, for a total of 4 times; so, after yesterday's infusion we are 25% of the way there.
Thanks also are deserving of the very special nurses and staff at the Albert Lea Oncology department. They greet us with smiles and concern about my well being. When action is needed, they jump right on it. They are also advocating for my care by listening to my health concerns and are not afraid to step in on my behalf to get the results needed from whomever can help when they can't. Their days on duty are long and very full, and they do a fantastic job.
Thank you again to all!
Deb
