Deb’s Story

Site created on December 18, 2023

Hi! Thanks for being here and a part of Deb Karnish’s cancer journey. On December 11th she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma in her lungs, liver, sacrum, skull, pelvis, etc. This CaringBridge is going to be used to update all friends and family. This will eliminate the constant texting and phone calls so Deb can rest when not getting treatments. We appreciate all of the love and support shown.

Journal entry by Jocie Kobes

To all my prayer warriors, I want to thank each &  everyone of you for the multitude of prayers and kind words of support, comfort, peace, and encouragement!! The overwhelming response from everyone makes me feel so grateful and truly blessed! 🙏🏻

Every prayer was answered and I'm profoundly appreciative!!!! ❤️God is good! I thank God for his great mercy!!!💗💓💗💓💗

My scan on April 2nd was successful!!!! The scan was CLEAR! What that means is that I do not have ACTIVE cancer. While, I will always have Cancer, and I will not be cured, nor remission, I have no present signs of cancer at this time!!! 🙏🏻

The lung cancer mass decreased by 50% and the remaining tissue is most likely dead cells. So nothing to worry about there.

Sclerosis in my bones are indicating healing in those areas involved with the cancer. So that is good to see!!!

I remain in no pain. 💪🏻

The words from my oncologist " "Go out and live your life "

I do NOT have an another appointment for 3 months.

I will continue with my current medications daily and Zometa once a month.

My next MRI is May 15th

Please, continue to pray that I am free from active cancer and my body continues to heal. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💜💜💜

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Dear Lord, Jesus,

I trust you. I will not overthink. I will not worry. I will not stress out. I will rest in you today.

In Jesus name I pray. Amen 🙏🏻
