I was thinking about my Mom this morning. Last Easter she was so happy to see her Grandkids. Jessie has cooked Easter dinner and they took food to Mom and Dad and visited for a while.
One year ago today, even though it wasn’t Easter, we learned that Mom’s treatments were not working and she would be starting hospice.
After that, sometimes she would get confused, probably because of the pain killers, and ask me if it was Easter yet.
On Easter we are supposed to celebrate Jesus Christ’s victory over death and the promise of eternal life for those who believe in Him.
So I guess it’s a good time to remind everyone...whether you’re separated from your loved ones because of coronavirus, or whether you’re missing them because Heaven doesn’t allow visitors, one way or another, we will all be able to be with our loved ones again. Until then, Happy Easter to my Mom and all of you.
