Her healing is far from complete but as of yesterday, mom is HOME! This day felt so far away for so long, but thanks to your prayers, her determination & hard work, and my dads dedication- they are HOME! 

We continue to be in awe of everything people have done for our family- especially in the prayer department. My mom is a living testimony to the power of prayer. On December 2nd she was given a less than 2% chance of survival. The only explanation to her incredible recovery is God. 

Prayers are continued to be needed as her healing journey moves forward. Specific prayers would be that the ENT doctor could find answers & solutions for the scar tissue in her airway so that she could eventually get the trach out. She still has wounds that need a lot of attention. Mobility & independence are some of the biggest goals with PT & OT. 

I’d also like prayers for my dad as he tries to get back into the “swing of things” at home. For a man who loves his job, nearly 4 months away has been a lot. But I pray he can find a new “normal” with work alongside caring for my mom. 

Yesterday was a bitter sweet day for me. Dad has been living in my basement for 3 months now. My kids, Tanner, and I have really loved having him here. Elle is sure that papa is still “seeping in the basement” this morning. What a special time he has gotten with my kids that wouldn’t have been possible had this horrible event not occurred. That’s just another testament to Gods goodness, such a beautiful thing caused by such a negative thing!
