Newest Update

Journal entry by Debbie Thompson

Thanks to all y’all!  Prayers and well wishes are a salve to my soul!  And I’m thankful to Scott for his unsolicited note here.

I confess that I did have a bit of angst about the scan results.  The first time for that.  Not sure why, but I let the possibility of less than great news enter my mind rather than the “come what may”attitude I’ve been planted in.  I know God’s got me, and it’s HIS plan.

I guess I was getting tired of my new food plan.  And had forgotten how good I feel since eliminating so much.  So, that was silly.  Juicing is laborious, plain and simple!  But all this is absolutely helping me feel better than before I started!

The news is excellent.  No new lesions in my liver and lungs.  Those that are there and in other places have reduced in size!  Aside from disappearing altogether, this is the very best news possible!!!  Hooray!

I’m thanking God for the targeted medication that is working, and for the nutritional craziness that just may be helping too!!

There is so much other stuff to be thankful for, including healthy baby Kennedy, our new daughter in-law, Maddy.  For the engagement of our middle son, Matt to Hannah, and our safe journeys to and from Alaska and Eastern Europe (cruise up the Danube) as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, eastern Tennessee, Table Rock Lake, .  Who knows what’s next??  We’ve spent time with many friends and have had many excuses for all-family gatherings.  I’ve been to Massachusetts with my dear college friends (thanks Heidi), and to Alabama to see a dear friend from Fort Worth.  I could go on and on but I’ll stop now.

Friends and family like you all are treasures.  Thank you for keeping up with our journey.  I feel rich, indeed.

By the way, Scott is becoming a knife craftsman.  I’ve included a pic of his first go at it.  To say the least, he is enjoying making these from start to beautiful finish!!  Retirement suits him!

Blessed beyond words!!
Debbie
