On Monday, Dean met with his oncologist to get his PET scan results. No cancer seen on the scan! He will have another one on 2/18/19. Only concern at this visit was that his blood pressure was high, so he will see his primary physician for that on Friday.

Today (11/28/18), Dean had another scope. Everything looked very good! Dean does have Barrett's esophagus which is a pre-cancerous condition, so Dr. Bowman removed a substantial amount of that area. When that tissue grows back, it comes back healthy, therefore reducing the cancer risk. Wonderful! He said the spot where he removed the previous tumor showed no signs of new cancer growth!! Of course, there is always a chance it can come back, but for now everything looks very good. He'll do another scope in 2 months to check things out and remove some more of the Barrett's area. Praise God!!
