DeAnn’s Story

Site created on February 11, 2022

50 years ago DeAnn and I went on our first date. It has flown by. She has always been the caregiver in our family. She is strong willed and full of faith in Jesus Christ who never fails. We are blessed with a strong family scattered across several States, dear friends both near and far, and a loving church family both in Greer and Anderson. She has made a difference in the lives of hundreds through feeding strangers, advocating for children, helping in schools, and coaching lacrosse. Always representing good. And now we come to the time for the caregiver to be cared for. Breast cancer will be beaten. We are starting down the path and thankful to have a prayer chorus and bright light of hope beaming from so many of you. I will update this site as we learn more about her journey to victory. We trust the doctors. She will be seeing your encouragement! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! We are blessed to have you in our lives. Don

Journal entry by Don Louis

We are leaving the hospital today! Yay! We have been waiting for over an hour for discharge papers! Boo!  DeAnn feels good. She feels pain at certain incision points but all signs are this 20 month adventure will have a happy ending. And they all lived happily ever after. The End. (I hope)
