Journal entry by Sara Ignace

We called mom last night around 7 and she was the most clear she had been. It was a beautiful conversation that left my heart full of hope. After we got off the phone I bawled because I said, “she’s still here.” I called one more time at 9 PM even though I figured she’d be sleeping. She answered and we briefly spoke but it is a conversation I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Today at 7:44 AM, I received a call from the hospital that she was blue-lining and they were performing CPR. I rushed to the hospital where they stopped performing CPR after 25 intense minutes. Her jaw wouldn’t allow them to ventilate her. I believe with all my heart that she knew making that decision would be something I couldn’t live it so she choose to peacefully pass away in her sleep.

We are currently at the hospital, spending time remembering her in her room. She radiated light and love and we are so bless to have been the lucky ones chosen to be her family.

As you remember her and mourn her, please make it a priority to spread more of her light each and everyday—that would be the greatest way to spread her legacy 🤍
