Journal entry by Dana Jetton —
My neurologist finally put my request for my steroid infusion onto the system so that I could schedule it! Yea! Up until now I have been concentrating on how much healing this will do. I have been saying prayers of thanks about this treatment. I have been trying not to even think about the terms that define it. Now that I just today made the appointment for three days in a row to have 1000mg of steroids pumped into me each day, I’m over-thinking it a bit. 😬😳
Also, I had to ask Alan to move a trip to see his parents ON HIS BIRTHDAY because I don’t know how my body will react to the infusion. If they are anything like Remicaid infusions,I won’t be able to make a sandwhich for lunch. It will lower my immune system considerably more than Remicaid did. ...So Alan very quietly agreed immediately to change the weekend he goes up there (to Temple) without even a huff. Yeah, I know. I married a good one.
