Dawn’s Story

Site created on April 23, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Like most events in life - there are moments you never thought you would be in.  It is with an open heart, fear of the unknown, and absolute raw emotion we share what has happening with Dawn.

Dawn, a local hairdresser who works 80 hours a week, owning her own shop - self described as OCD never stops. She has stopped - for a situation of indescribable fear.   She has been doing hair in West Allis WI. for over 20 years - she has seen many families through unimaginable days - now its time to do the same for her.

Over the last year Dawn has been having different GI symptoms.  Over the last fast and furious two weeks Dawn has been worked up for a probable ovarian cancer.  The mass in her belly is 19cm, about the size of a basketball.  She is going for emergent surgery planned for 4/24/19 and once the pathology is reviewed on this mass we will know the plan of attack.  This site will be used to keep everyone updated.

Donations- if you wish to donate to help her financially please donate to the Go Fund Me site - https://www.gofundme.com/xd2mp-dawn039s-warriors?sharetype=teams&member=2109160&rcid=r01-155611514746-e60cb209237b4bb4&pc=ot_co_campmgmt_w

Journal entry by Carrie Riccobono

Hi everyone!

Thank you again to everyone who has reached out to my family. Due to the limited capacity for the private service and to accommodate friends and family out of town, a live stream of the service will be available at 7:30pm.

There is a link at the bottom of mom’s obituary on church and chapels website that should take you to the live stream.

Thank you !
