Dave had his ONE YEAR follow-up at Mayo this week and we are happy to say that he got a great report! The surgeon told us last year that Dave would need to have a follow up check up with him every year for 3-5 years, but after a full day of scans and tests and Dr. Nassr visually seeing how well he is doing, said he doesn't need to come back unless he's having problems! The Hematologist is also very pleased with test results and the full body skeletal scan came back as we hoped. He will need to have yearly follow up exams and scans with hematology at Mayo indefinitely, as well as blood work 4 times a year, but he can have the blood draws through a local clinic.
