David, you were and always will be the closest thing to a father or indeed a parent that I have had in my life. You saved my life and became the closest friend that our family has ever had. The world was a more beautiful and safe place with you in it.

David, you mean the world to me and my family. You helped us work through intergenerational trauma, you pushed us to improve our functioning. You offered love and safety. You will always have a cherished place in our hearts. We miss you, so very much.

I can't imagine a world without David in it. His passing leaves a vast hole in the lives of so many, many individuals. I will always be guided by his words to me, as well as all our sessions together.
