We made it home yesterday- whew, long journey and glad the worst is over. Dave continues to do well and the nurse coordinator said he was leaving in about the  best shape of any patient she’s seen in 20 years. Many prayers answered there ❤️

It will take a while before he gets all his strength back and before his immune system is fully recovered and he gets fatigued easily right now- but should be getting back to normal within a few months.

Thank you for all the love and support along the way. The outpouring of prayers, cards, messages, money and visits has been greatly appreciated. We came home to a huge stack of cards and are truly overwhelmed by the support from friends, family, neighbors, community members - and even complete strangers. We are truly blessed by God to be surrounded by so much love.
