Journal entry by David Rothberg —
Hello Friends,
You probably know that since the surgery last week, we've been waiting for the pathology report. Well it's here. I knew going in that in cases like this, the tumor being malignant is by far the more likely scenario, and it turns out, it is. That said, as my Urologist told me, and was echoed by a friend who is a pathologist, "It's never good news to receive a cancer diagnosis; but if you are going to receive one, this is the kind you want to have." The tumor is a relatively mild, non-aggressive type, caught very early, with no sign of spread, and it's shape and location lead to high confidence that it was completely removed. There is no need for ongoing treatment other than to monitor for a few years.
Thank you for all of your support and prayers.
Kol tuv/all the best,
David
