This will probably be my last post, as we are nearing the end of our journey.  David had his final surgery last Monday on his mouth, and it has made a big difference, in that he has his smile back!  When the skin healed on his face, it pulled his mouth together at the corners and caused his upper lip to turn inward.  It also caused his mouth to be very small and he had a hard time opening it to eat.  The Burn Plastic Surgeon is out of Augusta, and flies in twice a month to our burn unit here in Austell.  He was able to join with his burn doctor here and they did the surgery together.  He looks so good, it is just amazes me how modern medicine has come so very far.  He has little to no scarring on his face where they performed the stem cell surgery.  Where they did the grafts on his arm, he will have some scarring, but it is not a concern for us because we are just so incredibly thankful that he is with us! He still has stitches in the corners of his mouth, and some inside, so I'm not going to post a picture here, but be sure to check my FB page in a few weeks, as I will be posting a picture!  Again, we cannot begin to thank all of you for your love, acts and gifts of kindness, and most especially, your prayers.  We know without a doubt, that this not only carried us through one of the toughest times of our lives, but also brought miraculous healing to David!  We love you all and consider this our last post. You will never ever know the gratitude we have for all of you.  Forever grateful, Susi, David, and family.💕💕💕
