David Dailey
Our hearts are filled with sorrow
Our tears cannot wash away our sadness
For today, soon after sunrise
A life was stilled
A heart became silent
A warm, gentle, loving man
Said Good Bye
There are no good times
For those left behind
There are no right times to die
If only we could have ...
Just a few more minutes
To tie up loose ends
To tell you one more time
How grateful we are
For the life you gave to so many
To tell you once again
How much we enjoy you
How much we appreciate your strength
How much we love you
If only we could have just a few more weeks
To tell you how grateful we are
For leaving us with hope
Because it is hopelessness more than pain
That crushes the human spirit
If only we could have just a few more years
To thank you for your friendship
One that softens our pain
And heals our hearts
Your life was a gift to all of us
If only ...
Death is a teacher
From it we learn how precious life is
From death we learn to make the most
Of every moment we live
And as we continue to live with each other
We realize that life is a one-time chance
But death is also powerless
Death has taken the life of our sweet Friend
But it cannot take away the life
Which you have shared with so many of us
In so many different ways
Life is difficult in the best of times
Almost impossible in the worst
And in these impossible times
We come together to grieve
But more to support each other
To console each other
To remember the good days we leave behind
We must never forget
That although now there is great pain and sorrow
It's only because first there was great love and affection
We must also remember that you gave all of us
Your family and friends
A heart full of love
That like the stars will last forever
Still our hearts are filled with sorrow
Our tears cannot wash away our sadness
For today, soon after sunrise
A life was stilled
A heart became silent
A warm, gentle, loving man
Our wonderful Friend
Said Good Bye
Love,
Bernie and Sue
