David was transferred to a skilled nursing facility - The Springs at Pacific Regent in La Jolla, room 304 - yesterday evening, but in the middle of the night was rushed to the emergency room for a fall. As far as we know he only suffered a temporal bruise. Up until then things had been going extremely well. Yesterday (Monday, October 21) just before 4 p.m. Rickard Borg, David's law partner, had written in a note, "David is back on the comeback trail. I visited him in the hospital this morning and talked to him on the phone this afternoon.... He has made tremendous progress in the last 24 hours. His mind is starting to run at the speed of years past. Its very invigorating to witness this unbelievable comeback." Some have asked why so far south in La Jolla - apparently David still has a stomach feeding tube, which limited the facilities that would accept him.
