Journal entry by Grace Baldridge —
Dad had an appointment with the surgeon Dr. Kashroo. It was the final appointment. It was on April 24th. Dr Kashroo performed the four bypasses.
Dad seems to be progressing well by the Dr.’s estimation. We found his Doctor to be very thorough, candid, competent, and having a “good bedside manner”.
Blood testing finds that the hemoglobin and hematocrit are much improved from what it was right after surgery.
Dad will be driving in early May. Watch out on the road, everyone!!
Dad will have home heath visits as well as physical therapy and occupational therapy visits.
Some time in late May he will commence cardiac rehab three times a week at Centralia’s SSM St. Mary’s hospital.
Dad says, “I am very grateful and touched, and amazed by all of your concern, prayers, visits, phone calls, emails, texts, cards, food, gifts, rides, and lawn mowing. Above all I am greatly indebted to Grace and Sarah for such dedicated, attentive, and loving care shown to me in the hospital, in rehab, and at home.”
Thank you for joining us and cheering us on during this most important time in Dad’s life.
Love,
David, Sarah and Grace
