The proposed and expected surgery, to fuse and stabilize Dave's lower spine, has been put on hold at least until November. The cardiologist deemed it too great of risk on Dave's heart to undergo a surgery so soon after his heart attack. 

The plan is to try and manage Dave's pain through medication. Also, to be referred to an Orthotist to fit him for a back brace to keep his spine in a neutral position. We are praying for success in both areas as November seems a long way off.
