Journal entry by Eleanor Brode —
Good morning. I hope everyone is well. It's hard to believe it has been almost ten months since David died. It has been a very difficult time for me and for David's other family members. I'm still blown away by the love and support David received. I know David's other family members feel equally grateful. He was special to so many. We miss him so so so much.
As we approach the first anniversary of David's death, I have a favor to ask of anyone who is willing to participate. Like all moms, David's mother has enjoyed reading glowing comments about her son. They have been a tremendous solace in his absence. I would like to gather even more for her at this time. If you are willing, please message me privately at eleanor@brode.net and share a story, memory, or reflection you have about David. Perhaps a way he helped you. Perhaps a way he changed the way you view life. Perhaps a way he made you laugh. Whatever. Please be as effusive and glowing in your remarks as you can be!!! Don't worry about being over the top! Go there. If you think you already shared something nice, please share it again! Every kind thing written will be a sparkling jewel to savor. I plan to gather together all the comments and put them in one place for David's mother, Liela. And his dad, Sid, of course. 😊 Anything that is shared will be a gift.
Thank you ahead of time,
Eleanor
