Dave update 7/20/23
Dave is at Delnor ER right now He was up all night with SOB. (Shortness of breath)
He has been having trouble breathing off and on last week and a little puffiness in his right hand and foot I communicated with his cardiologist Dr Tsay and let her know about fluid and she had to renew script for Bumex (water pill)
Last night he had a lot of trouble I had to get him into a recliner so he could breath This morning I told Dave we need to go to ER to figure out how to make him more comfortable The pill form of Bumex was not working fast enough to get rid of fluid I was a little concerned something else could happen like a blood clot
I finally convinced him at 11:30 and got him down the stairs on main floor couch He then told me some chest pain with deep breaths I decided to call 911 ti get him evaluated quickly I did not think good idea to drag to car and sit in waiting room
Dave had blood work and chest X-ray and lucky for us his cardiologist Dr Tsay was on call
She came in and saw us She said there is some fluid in lungs and abdomen causing trouble breathing Daves oxygen level is good so no need for O2 the fluid is causing pressure on lungs snd heart making breathing hard but his blood has plenty of Red bloood cells with oxygen She is going to keep Dave here for 2 nights to give IV diuretics to get fluid off faster
We are still in ER waiting for a room
So unfortunately we are having another vacay at hotel Delnor
Really not where we want to be lol
