Journal entry by Bethany Stevens —
I’m sorry for the lack of updates here of late. Thankfully, it’s due to the fact that things are very low-key for Dad - in a great way! His doctors are astonished and so happy with the amazing progress he has made. Cleared the 100 day mark with no complications and his bone marrow biopsies continue to show zero trace of MDS and his new marrow. In the next few weeks, he will even stop taking Tacro, the drug that fights rejection. His body has been responding well to the treatments and he’s getting ready to start weaning from his immune suppressing drugs. The fresh air, good golf, and great friends are fueling recovery in an amazing way. Keep those prayers and positive thoughts flowing - they’re doing their job!
