It has been almost 2 months since Dave was taken to the hospital. It seems like its been a long two months. Dave was my place to come home to, my safe space, the one where I could be myself. That has been taken away from me, and it is hard.
But I had told him on his last day here on earth that the children would take care of me. They have done an awesome job with that. But what I didn't figure on is how my friends, church and community would surround me also. It is an incredible feeling to know how many people surrounded me with love, support, and monetary giving! I thank you to everyone who has supported me with your gifts of love. Those that gave to the Mighty Cause. I have no addresses to send you thank you cards, but I want you to know how deeply that has meant to me! Thank you. There was a fundraiser given to Dave and I by some friends of ours, and the turnout was overwhelming with people's presence, and people whom I didn't know very well, but were clients of Dave's and the kind words I heard over and over that he was so good at his job, and that he was the one they liked coming out to their houses. He was good with one on one conversations. He will be greatly missed, but I wouldn't wish him back. 

There are times when I am discouraged and just want things to go back to the way they were, but every time there is a step backward, something happens to show me how much God cares for me, and that this is a refining fire to show me what he wants from me next. God is still good!
