Newest Update

Journal entry by Meaghan Harmon

Woo it seems like so much has happened since the last update! But for Dave each day is just the same as before. He is starting to get a little stir crazy! He is not the type that is used to sitting still!!

Dave’s mobility is getting better every day! He is able to get around without his crutch more often than not. (Much to our dismay) we are all a little hesitant in letting him take off at Dave speed because we think he is rushing himself a bit too fast.

Unfortunately, Dave, Cassandra and the girls were not able to make it to our annual family trip to Orlando this year. Dave wasn’t quite cleared to fly and we were afraid the train would be too much for him (and it’s a good thing we made that call because a 16 hour trip ended up being 26 hours!) there’s always next year when baby boy can join us too!!

But despite missing our trip, Dave was able to take the girls trick or treating and hang with them at the park a few times. He recently had repeat scans done of his neck and back. Please continue to keep him in your prayers as he journeys back to Delaware tomorrow to see the surgeon that saved his life and fused his spine. He will be getting updates on how things are healing! He is a little nervous but we have no doubts he is healing just fine!
