Such a tremendous loss. From reading and following the updates and incredibly beautiful, moving journal entires I feel like I was able to get a glimpse of the human and spiritual being Dave was. A beautiful, humble bigger than life, inspiring soul.

I know Dave from Stanford but more directly through Harry Chandler. He is one the world's great travelers and athletes with record first descents down roaring rivers and many other challenging feats. I thoroughly have enjoyed knowing Dave.
