Last post, on the eve of Thanksgiving:

 

We would like to close out this Caring Bridge site for Dave with one last post.

 

Dave enjoyed playing and watching many competitive high school and Legion baseball games at Wakanda Park in Menomonie.  With your generous memorial donations, new handicapped accessible bleachers have been installed at Baseball Diamond #2.  

 

In addition, we are working on another project from our family in memory of Dave at Diamond #2 (the baseball field).  In the Spring of 2020 a fan deck will be added just beyond the home-field dugout on the first-base side of Diamond #2.  The fan deck will provide a covered area for spectators to sit and enjoy the view of the entire field of play.  It will be handicapped accessible.  For those of you who are not familiar with the location of Diamond #2, as you go down the hill entering Wakanda Park, the water park is on your left and Baseball Diamond #2 is on the right.

 

We would like to especially thank Julie Stratton and Dan Gerth for all their assistance with this on-going project and numerous others, including the Recreation Department/City of Menomonie who have also been part of this work in progress.

 

We are so grateful for all the love and support we have received this past year—you have filled our hearts with so many reasons to be thankful.
