Journal entry by Harmony White —
Hello, everyone! It has been AWHILE 😳, and for no other reason than we have been busy living life ☺️.
Darrin is still with us and is doing OK. Of course, no day is without its challenges, but we have just figured out how to navigate through them. Our family is continually adapting to our new “normal.” Darrin still has cancer in his body, but Doc says the tumors are not “growing and festering” right now. The cancer is being “managed.” Darrin continues the same treatment protocol that he has been on for over 4 years.
It is hard to believe that he had to discontinue working nearly 3 years ago now, and he misses it every day. He would go back tomorrow if he was able.
Darrin has been able to manage his seizures (for the most part), and he has not had a full-blown seizure in over a year now! 🙌🏼 He drives himself to appointments and also while running errands close to the house. Feeling useful is definitely a huge part of his ongoing recovery.
Our boys are growing into young men! Braxton is 14 and taller than me by quite a bit now. Caden is 12 and as tall as me. They are both in middle school together this year.
Thank you for your continued support and especially for your ongoing prayers over our family. Darrin is a walking miracle of God, and your prayers have been pivotal in this!!
”Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.“
James 1:2-4 NLT
