Journal entry by Suzanne Rajchel —
Hi, It's Daria's good friend Suzanne Rajchel. I'm posting this in Daria's journal one year after her passing. I want to honor her memory, and recognize grief is a journey with no time limits. Today I feel the sweetness of her memory and the lasting impact she made on my life. I also feel the sadness of her absence. I miss her smile and her laughter. One year ago, the world lost an angel. Her love lives on in all of us who knew her. Love never dies. It never fails. God's love is always the First Love, and Daria allowed it to freely flow through her, "downstream" to us.
I also want to remember and thank any of you who happen to see this (if you still have notifications turned on) who supported her in any way throughout her cancer journey. Your prayers, meals, rides, money, encouragements, cards, gifts, flowers, and posts all mattered to Daria. I had the privilege of experiencing many of them alongside her. They were a testimony to God's faithfulness to me as well as her. You were the hands and feet of Jesus. I've come to believe in how crazy-abundantly God looks out for His kids because of you.
"...If anything is done for love, however small and inconsiderable it may be, every bit of it is counted. God considers what is behind the deed, and not what is actually done."
