My surgery was 6 weeks ago today! My incision is almost healed and I can pick up my grandbaby! I am so grateful for my good health and good medical care and good friends!
This week, I have been to the Lymphedema experts at the U three times. They have been wrapping and rewrapping my feet and legs to resolve the swelling that the removal of 19 lymph nodes has caused. Today I got a break from going to an appointment, so I wrapped them myself after getting to move about without the wraps for an hour. Tomorrow I go back to the experts so they can tell me how I did. I am responding well to the treatment, and I may be in custom compression stockings in a week or so.
