The last several weeks have been concerning. Dan is experiencing the gas as when he was diagnosed and sometimes severe nausea to boot. He lost about 12 lbs. in the process. Although he was been working around the house, as he has energy, to catch up on some of his projects which probably added to some of the weight loss. They did a full scope on Monday - Endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultra sound and biopsies. He is still cancer free!!! We are going to try another medicine to help with the nausea. Unfortunately, this may be his new normal for awhile. It will take at least a year to get the Opdivo out of his system. He has always eaten fish with no problem but ended up in the ER a few weeks back and came home with an epi-pen. The allergy clinic will be testing him for all food allergies which probably developed from the immunotherapy treatment he had that possibly could have changed his immune system. Don't know that for sure but covering all options. So for the next 6 weeks, no fish with fins or tails. My thoughts he may have developed an intolerance to certain foods that may be adding to his nausea. Just look forward to him feeling like his old ornery self again (I think!). Dr. Singh does not need to see him for 3 months!!
