Danise’s Story

Site created on August 17, 2023

Welcome!  If you are reading this than you know I have breast cancer. What you may not know is that I have decided not to undergo surgery, chemo or radiation.  Instead, I am doing my best to heal my body and allow it to heal me in return.  So many will never consider natural healing because they don't know anything about it.  This is why I have decided to journal my experience.  Will my natural healing approach work?  Quite honestly, I don't know.  I could very well die or I could live to a ripe old age of 100.  My hope is not to live a long life, but to live life well.   It is my desire to inspire and encourage others to walk in faith during whatever personal trial they are facing.   Thank you for letting me share my story.

Journal entry by Danise Brakeman

John 10:10 tells us, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

My recent biopsy on the original tumor showed benign tissue and necrosis. The Cryoablasion worked!!! And a recent ultrasound on both sides did not show any other abnormalities. While my cryo doctor in LA will need to see me and confirm the results, I think it's pretty safe to say I am CANCER FREE!!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. This is the result I, and so many others, have been praying for. I will continue with my protocol hard core for another year to prevent reoccurrence. Then, I will be on lifetime maintenance.

Going forward, I started thinking about abundant life. What is abundant life? It’s different things for different people. For me, it’s being close to the Lord. It’s spending quality time with the people who love me. It’s experiencing new things. It’s seeing parts of God’s creation I’ve never seen. It’s trying to make a positive change in this world, one person at a time. These are the things that bring me joy. These are the things I will be focusing on going forward. Abundant life.

I want to thank all those who prayed with me and for me during this journey. Thank you for all of the phone calls, texts, and messages checking in with me to see how I was doing. Thank you for all of the positive comments and the encouraging words. Thank you for the kindness and love you have shown me. I can’t begin to tell you how much it helped. And I am eternally grateful. ❤️
