Journal entry by Ashton Hoffmann

Many of you know this sweet and bubbly face. On Saturday August 31st, Danielle was rushed to the emergency room after being found unconscious; upon arrival at the hospital she was showing signs of short term memory loss and severe disorientation.  She was transported to Denver by flight for life from Gillette, Wyoming hospital. She was found to have a blood clot in her brain.  After 3 procedures and more to come, it appears that the clot is more extensive than scans initially showed. Unfortunately at this time her vital signs and reflex responses are the only indication on any progress. She is fully sedated to keep the catheters that are placed in her brain from moving and causing a brain bleed or stroke. We are holding on to the hope that her stubbornness will pull her through, but it is certain she will have an extremely long and difficult road ahead of her. As we continue to pray and support Danielle through this ridiculously hard time, we are asking that everyone respect our family’s privacy and give us your patience. We will post any major updates as soon as we receive them throughout this journey
