My dad's cancer story begins back in February with abdominal and back pain that, while previously sporadic, did not seem to go away. After he and my mom returned from vacation, he went to the doctor and had a CT scan done, which found several metastases. After a biopsy, the official diagnosis came on March 29 - stage 4 pancreatic (adenocarcinoma) cancer. Since that time, we've seen another oncologist at the UW Carbone Cancer Center for a second opinion, as well as a naturopathic doctor in Madison.  After weighing the few treatment options available, my dad had his first chemo treatment on Wednesday, April 10.
