In honor of April being esophageal cancer awareness month I wanted to share this article.  Some really cool work is being done by the docs at Mayo to help people detect this disease early or even before it strikes. 

This is especially important for types of cancer such as esophageal where often times it isn't discovered until it is quite advanced.  Because there aren't typical screenings and people don't get checked until symptoms are pretty severe it can go unchecked for way too long.
