Dan was in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday, June 24 at about 5:15 am, he was on his way work when he hit a deer. He was found just minutes after he struck the deer. He taken by helicopter to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah WI. This is his recovery story...

I will try to update the Caring Bridge each evening. Please check back each day for his progress.

Please keep Dan, his Dr’s and medical staff and our family in your prayers.

Journal entry by Amy Bestul

Wow... It's been a month already since the accident, the last few weeks have been a blur. I noticed the odometer on my car and thought how did I put on almost 3,000 miles, I just had my oil changed? Then you realize that each trip to Neenah was at least 100 miles round trip!

Dan is home and doing AMAZING! He still has therapy and will for a while... as he wears out very quickly, so naps are his friend :) The bones are still healing and so is his brain... it all just takes time. He has been able to get the garage and tinker with a few things for a little while.

He is in very little pain, his neuropathy in his feet is somewhat better, not so much sharp pain, but still there and more manageable.

Please continue to keep him your prayers as it will take a bit of time for him to get back to himself.
