Dan’s Story

Dan started experiencing abdomen pains in late Spring of 2022. In June, he jumped in to the diagnosis process to determine the cause. The news was not good: Stage 4 bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma). Despite the unexpected news, Dan stayed positive and kept his faith - so, typical Dan. :) He started chemo in August. Overall, he experienced minimal side effects, and was able to go about most day-to-day activities.

In January 2023, Dan suffered numerous strokes, which sent his journey down a different path. He was admitted to the hospital, and is currently in the intermediate care unit at the U of M Hospital. Dan has a hard time communicating verbally, but still his personality is still able to shine through.
