Journal entry by David Berger —
The first anniversary of Dana L Spanger’s passing causes me to reflect.
So, I am loath to tie any good to my wife’s tragic passing, but it has spurred me to give to the below organizations more frequently in the hopes that I can help spare another Dana Spanger out there. It's one of the few ways I can exercise my will in a universe where control is an illusion.
As I mentioned last year, some of the therapies that helped Dana live longer only became available as a consequence of the hard work from researchers after the time she was diagnosed. That research is funded in part by our giving.
No lectures from me about what you should do. I’m just modeling the behavior I want to see in the world.
A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Dana's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
