Happy New Year Everyone!

Dafna has officially moved back home as of December 29th! 

I had a long visit with Dafna, Eli and Shira on the evening of the 29th. Dafna is doing beautifully! She continues to get stronger and more independent. Her hand and arm has more movement, although she will continue to do much physical therapy. She showed me how she can hold her mug and drink with her right hand...also, I observed that while she was talking, she used that hand way more than in the past...

Her memory is coming back slowly. She will begin cooking some of her family's favorite dishes by following the recipe, as she doe not remember how to make them. One of the first to make, with Eli this time, is her special "cakes" that she makes for Eli to have with his coffee. He has always loved them!

She will begin her outpatient daily rehabilitation in a couple of weeks. Eli will be taking her. The schedule and time commitment is to be determined. Dafna will now have to create new ways of spending her time...we will wait to hear what she finds interest in!

She is the pure Dafna: her smile, her joy for life, her love for her family, her curiosity, her determination and intelligence. What a blessing.
