Cindy’s Story

Site created on November 15, 2020

Mom has struggled with her blood pressure for a couple of years.   Recently, the effects of the high pressure have progressively gotten worse.

At the beginning of November 2020, mom developed fluid on her heart and lungs due to her blood pressure. After a couple of trips to the hospital and many tests, doctors determined that she had a blockage in her heart.

On Tuesday, November 10, she had a heart cath to find and fix the blockage. Doctors did not find a blockage, but determined she had a massive stroke after the heart cath. She was rushed into surgery to relieve the pressure and blood on her brain. Scans have shown that about half of the left side of her brain has been affected by the stroke.
