Quick update. When I met with the medical oncologist on Sept 28, I didn't leave with a treatment plan, as I'd hoped. Instead, it turned out that I need a biopsy of something in my neck.
That biopsy is tomorrow.
I got to spend last week at home, which was good. And I'll be heading home Tuesday or Wednesday depending on how I feel after tomorrow.
Then Sunday it's back to NJ and Monday, Oct 17, I meet with the medical oncologist again. Hopefully then we'll have the info we need to get started with treatment.
Fingers crossed that the neck thing isn't a big deal.
In the mean time, I'm just continuing on. I look at this as one more damn thing to deal with after several years of dealing with very hard things.
That's the attitude that keeps me going.
That and all the people I love who are in my corner. I love you all right back.
