Journal entry by Jen Kellerman

Hi Everyone,

As the weather warms and the flowers begin to peek through the soil again, I think we can all feel Cricket with us. I spent over two hours cleaning out my perennial flower bed today. It was a very bittersweet symphony for me. I was so heartbroken that she was not there with us, unearthing the new life under all of the dead leaves and plants, as this was something she loved to do each spring. However, I was comforted by the fact that it is one activity where I still feel connected to her, where I feel I can still spend time with her in a way. She was all around us. I hope you all have been lucky enough to have some moments where you pictured her there with you.

I also wanted to take a moment and announce the plan for her Celebration of Life. We have settled on June 2nd at 2 PM at Frontier Cafe in Brunswick. We are sifting through some old pictures to share with you. As with my dad’s celebration, we welcome all of you (family, friends, friends of her kids, caretakers, etc) to celebrate her beautiful life with us. We thank you again for all of your support through this journey with us, and hope to see you on the 2nd!

Love,

Jen
