Craig’s Story

Site created on October 2, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. This is going to be the best way for us to get the word out to many.  Craig has been diagnosed with Cancer again and we will be asking for the love, support and encouraging positive notes to help us when we have tough moments.  Thank you to the Army we have had behind us so far and for those that will be enlisting in this to fight the damn beast, along with us!  We have more life to live and more families to help with our organization!  But first and foremost; the Cop who has been fighting for so many is now in his own fight...

Newest Update

Journal entry by Craig Phinney

Monday July 20 update. Round #2 of Chemo this morning. Labs were good, Dr consultation went well. Keeping chemo cocktail the same until August, then will have labs and consultation again on changing strength. At least two more rounds of chemo first and middle part of August, then scans for evaluation of progress.

Drs very happy on progress currently and how I’m looking physically, medically and mentally. Politely replied, it’s not all me. Dr also wanted me to share with my others Drs how I’m progressing. Prayers are being answered, I’m proof of that, Warriors are out in force to the call for service, I’m proof of that, Medically responding with positive results and like all three Drs have said jointly by identifying me and my cancer as “Unique.”

We are going to keep doing what we are doing and working closely with our Warriors (Prayer Team Craig’s Army 2.0). Thank you all for your support, encouragement and thoughtfulness. Shirley and I are extremely appreciative and blessed as to who’s fighting with us. We can not do this alone. We have had days when both of us are extremely exhausted and wiped, and then a few of our Warriors know just what to do and say to energize us back to focusing on the fight. THANK YOU 🙏🙏🥰🥰.

I am on chemo pump until this Wednesday and we’ll return to Stoddard and have pump removed and will get fluids on board for the weekend and then off until the first part of August for Round #3. We will continue with updates.
